Dr. Huyck received his BA in Biological Sciences in 1973 from Cornell University (Ithaca, N.Y.) and his MS in Bio Chemistry from Albany Medical College (Albany, N.Y.) in 1976. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine at Albany Medical College in 1979. Dr. Huyck completed his internship in internal medicine and his first year of internal medicine residency at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Ky in 1980 and 1981 and his senior medical residency in internal medicine at the Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital (Columbia University affiliated) in Cooperstown, N.Y. in 1982. He fulfilled his fellowship in Rheumatology at the Albany Medical Center Hospital in 1984 and is board certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. Dr. Huyck is a member of the American College of Physicians and a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology. Dr. Huyck is interested in the diagnosis, treatment and management of all forms of arthritis and rheumatic disorders and collagen vascular diseases.
Ron Monson RPA
Ron Monson is originally from Syracuse, NY. He received a scholarship for music education from Hartwick College in Oneonta. While attending Hartwick he changed his field of study. He was convinced he wanted to pursue medicine and completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science from Hartwick in 1984. He relocated to Albany and attended the Physicians Assistant school in 1985. He graduated from the Albany Medical Center Program in 1987. Ron has a wide variety of experience as a PA in the Capital Region. He brings to ArthritisCare over 20 years experience in such areas as Surgical Assistant, Nursing Home & Rehabilitation, Primary Care, Psychiatry and Pain Management. He is married with five children and resides in Albany County. He enjoys Family Life, playing basketball, hiking and camping.
