Christopher J. Huyck, MD, FACR

Dr. Huyck’s practice interests encompass the entire spectrum of clinical rheumatic disease. He has particular interest in the diagnosis and treatment of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Psoriatic Arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, crystal induced arthritis such as Gout and Pseudogout, collagen vascular diseases, Scleroderma, Raynaud’s Disease, inflammatory muscle disease, Vasculitis, Lyme disease, Osteoporosis and the rheumatic expression of internal medical diseases. At Arthritis Care, Dr. Huyck utilizes the full scope of diagnostic and therapeutic tools, such as DEXA, diagnostic radiology, joint and soft tissue aspiration, injection and fluid analysis, neurophysiologic testing and advanced infusion therapy.

Dr. Huyck completed his undergraduate work at Cornell University, his Master of Science in Biochemistry and his MD at Albany Medical College. He completed his internal medicine training at the University of Kentucky. He completed another year of internal medicine residency at the Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, N.Y. and completed his fellowship in Rheumatology at the Albany Medical College. Dr. Huyck has experience in basic laboratory biochemistry research in phospholipid metabolism and clinical research in Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Dr. Huyck is board certified in Internal Medicine and in Rheumatology. He is a member several organizations which include the American College of Physicians, American Society of Internal Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology.

Richard Bryan, MD

Dr. Bryan earned his medical degree, with distinction in research, from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn. He completed his internship and Internal Medicine residency at Yale New Haven.  He remained at Yale New Haven Hospital for his Rheumatology fellowship training and is board certified in Rheumatology and Internal Medicine. He is a diplomate of the American College of Rheumatology. He treats a diverse array of rheumatologic conditions ranging from non-inflammatory or mechanical disorders, to systemic  inflammatory conditions like Rheumatoid arthritis, Psoriatic arthritis and Connective tissue diseases processes like Lupus. His passion centers around Lupus and the Vasculitides, a central areas of his Master’s Thesis at New York University.  He currently serves as the Director of Infusion Services at Arthritis Care P.C. Dr. Bryan is available for consults.

Elizabeth Gentile, NP

Elizabeth graduated cum laude with a BS in Biology from SUNY Albany and cum laude with a BS in nursing from Russell Sage College. She completed her Family Nurse Practitioner program at Russell Sage College. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau international honor society of nursing and is a member of the Association of Rheumatology Health Professionals (ARHP), a division of the American College of Rheumatology (ACR). Elizabeth has extensive experience as a Registered Nurse in medical and surgical nursing at St. Peter’s Hospital and prior experience in Pediatrics, Geriatrics and Family Medicine. She has applied her patient centered model of care here at Arthritis Care and continues to successfully build long term patient relationships in an effort to provide the best care possible.

Barbara Nguyen, PA

Barbara Nguyen, PA-C, graduated cum laude with a Bachelors of Science in Biology and Biochemistry from Russell Sage College. She is a member of the  Honor Society as well as a Kellas Scholar. She received her Masters Degree at Albany Medical College and is a board certified Physician Assistant. She is a member of the Association of Rheumatology Health Professionals (ARHP), a division of the American College of Rheumatology (ACR). She is currently accepting patients at the Clifton Park office. Her comprehensive approach to the rheumatology patient has always been well received, providing a blend of traditional approaches with holistic.
